Michaela is Director for Philanthropic Services at the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties. Her role is to connect our region’s most committed philanthropists to the nonprofits that address the greatest needs in our community. She works closely with the many families in her portfolio to amplify their impact on the front lines of our area’s greatest challenges.

Before joining the Community Foundation, Michaela served as EVP of Fundraising & Marketing at Charlotte Pelton & Associates, working with clients such as Busch Wildlife Sanctuary on a $20 million dollar capital campaign to build their new campus in Jupiter Farms. Prior to that, she was Director of Development at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church & School where she completed a campaign that resulted in a $22 million facilities redevelopment project. She also founded and ran the school’s inaugural Development Office for over six years.

After years of living and working in Palm Beach on a part-time basis, Michaela moved to West Palm Beach full-time more than 14 years ago. Her passions include connecting thought leaders to each other and to causes where they can make a meaningful difference, putting solutions into action, and stewarding donors towards transformational gifts. The running theme in her life is the ability to partner with dynamic leaders to provide powerful initiatives that uplift people, animals and the planet.

Michaela believes deeply in the mission of Family Promise to solve and prevent family homelessness in our region. She has seen the leadership and staff in action and knows they have the ability to carry out this mission through their talent, vision, commitment, and hard work. She is thrilled to be part of the Family Promise team and contribute her efforts to assisting families in need.
